. f - . r FRESHMAN HISTORY On September 2 1952 ambitious students began the1r first year in senior high school Under the d1rect1on of our homeroom teachers Mrs Koehler and Mr Kline we began our Greenie Year by electing our class leaders President Alex Wolf Vice President Monica Fertally Secretary Mona Carlson Treasurer Joyce Erdman We became full fledged members of Weatherly High School on the night of October 31 at Initiation Our first and only social event was a Christmas party which was enjoyed by the entire class The end of our freshman year was marked with a picnic and then we went home for a much needed vacation SOPHOMORE HISTORY After the hustle and bustle of renewing acquaintances the sophomore class began e President Carole Koch Vice President John Hinkle Secretary Anna Mae Dotter Treasurer Jane Montz Historian Jean Kiser The class showing an attitude of co operation helped establish new friendships y sponsoring a Let s Get Acquainted Dance turning all proceeds over to the Junior class We had a Joyful Christmas party and found a remarkable resemblance between Edward Gettrg and Santa Claus Groans and moans were heard from all students who partici pated rn a rollerskatmg party because of the newly acquired bumps and bruises By the end of the term which was marked with a class p1cn1c the sophomore class had established itself as a prominent group in the high school . . , th year's activities by electing the following class leaders: , . . - . y . . . b JUNIOR HISTORY As rn previous years the Junior class started on IIS way by electing class leaders There was much to accomplish as we were coming closer to the end of our school career Leaders were President John Hlnkle Vice President Joan Ackerman Secretary Mona Carlson Treasurer Kenneth Parker Historian Jean Kiser In November we presented the annual Jtuuor class play entitled The Skeleton Walks directed by Miss Kast It was of the first mystery plays presented in school in many years Next on our social agenda was a Christmas dance wh1ch was held on December 27 as a result of the success of this dance we sponsored the Easter dance in Aprrl The last social event of the year was a Farewell dance held in honor of the graduating class So ended the third year of friendship Next September, the Junior class will embark on its fourth and frnal year SENIOR HISTORY With the commg of fall the graduating class of 1956 assembled to embark on through one of the most important years we had yet encountered, the following leaders were chosen President John Hinkle V1ce President Carole Koch Secretary Rose Ann Adamoyurka Historian Jean Klser Our guides remained the same as ln the previous years Miss Kast and Mr Young however Mr Rahn was designated to be our class advisor When October rolled around it brought with it the annual battle between the freshmen and the seniors The latter led with a program of good clean fun and sportsmanship as they recognized the fresh men as full fledged members of W H S Followmg on our agenda was a benefit show entitled Captain Lightfoot closely followed by a bake sale in March With the coming of spring the long awaited Easter hop and the annual senior play arrived Class day and Baccalaureate service were upon us before we realized it And then our big day arrived Graduation was here we had crossed our last stream now it was our tum to cross the ocean.
