Max fKolenkhovJ Kele's School of Advanced Russian Ballet, was blown up last Thurs- day night as a result of the high- powered experiment of Vernon Tyus, Tommy Dent, Bobby Driver and Bobby Thompson, the four joint owners of the We'll-Take-It With-Us Fireworks Company, lo- cated next to the school. Luckily Max remained uninjur- ed, and he succeeded in rescuing several of his pupils, Juanita Wooldridge, Tommy Locklear, Ver- da Mae Measures, Herbert Bullock, and Don Plowman. Fortunately, these four suffered only minor in- juries and will still be able to make their debut next week at the Cog- burn Follies, produced by Larry Cogburn and directed by that fa- mous couple of the modern theatre, Winnie Wallace and H. C. Yeats. fThe charred tights of the gentle- men will have to be replacedj. EX-STUDENT. CHAMPION WRESTLER. ACCEPTS POSITION IN W .H. S. Carl Crusher Curtis, World- Champion Wrestler, has accepted a job in Weatherford High School, where he was an ex-student, to coach wrestling, which is a new sport in W.H.S. Crusher will be accompanied by his wife, who is also his Manager. She is the for- mer Essie Pearl Yeary. Curtis has just left a two-month engagement at Berkley Square Garden in New York. The Garden was formerly called Madison, but Mr. Eugene Berkley, famous statesman, bought it about two years ago, following his election as Speaker of the House of Texas- Berkleycrats. PATTERSON WILL HONOR DOCTOR Bl'LL VINCENT E. A. Patterson, Jr., hydrogen magnate, is honoring Dr. Bill Vin- cent with a dinner May 12 at the Sky Room of the famous Lowry Club, located on Crater Number 19906-B, Moon. Bill has recently received the de- gree of P.H.D. fparticularly high- powered drivingj from the Honor- able Don Larry Grisham., President of Carbo-Rater University, for his brilliant perfection of a rocket ship fchartreuse of coursej with a Ford V-8 motor. Bill attributes most of his suc- cess to his devoted wife and assist- ant, the former Miss Mailyn Kelly. Their small son, Julius, was the first to ride in his father's rocket ship. He hasn't been found to date, although Mars reported that he had been by and waved. Bennett Will Announce Plan To Become World's Greatest Poet At Party ol 1954 W. H. S. Exes At Malone Mansion Mr. Joel Bennett, famed poet, who has just returned from his weekly trip abroad, told a GRASS BURR reporter that his plans for being the greatest poet in history were almost completed. His poem, Why I Love to Compose, made him famous at the 1970 Poetry Winner's Association in Cool, Tex- as. Mr. Bennett says that his wife, the former Virginia Dews, has in- spired him greatly to do such out- standing works in the poetry field. Joel and Virginia are expected to attend the annual party of Weath- erford High School exes, graduates of 1954, in the beautiful mansion of Eddie Malone, pro golfer, and his wife, the former Billie June Terry. Eddie's personal servant, Bob White, will be expected to go by foreveryone in the Senior Class of 1954 on his new streamlined scooter, given to him by his master for errand reasons. Mr. Bennett will read his famous poem to the class, assisted by his wife, Virginia, at the piano, with assorted musical notes from Rachel Williams, Barbara Eglen, and Bill Prichard- Terrible Trio of 1973. MELVIN WOODY WINS CASE, RETURNS FOR WEDDED BLISS Mr. Melvin Woody, resident of Weatherford many years ago, and a member of the Senior Class of Weatherford High School back in 1954, finally won his case against the Texas and Pacific Railroad Co. here in the final hearing, Thursday, May 6, at the Parker County court- house. This suit has been in the court files for nineteen years. Mr. Woody first filed charges and sued the T. Kr P. Railroad when he went with his Senior Class on their trip to New Orleans, La. Mr. Woody was left in New Orleans by mistakeg the class did not realize what had happened until two days later. Because class funds were exhausted, they were unable to send for Melvin. He had no money to come home, so he went to work suing the rail- road. In order to live, Melvin se- cured a job as plate-scraper at the famous restaurant, Arnauds. As the years passed, he continued his job and working on the case, he determined to win the suit. Today, Mr. Woody, who is owner and sole manager of Arnauds, won his hard-fought case, due to the help of his two brilliant lawyers, Mr. James Langford and Mr. Tho- mas Jackson, who were once old friends of his. Mr. Woody, since he has return- ed to Weatherford a rich man, has finally asked the girl of his dreams, Miss Rosa Lois Estes, to be his wife. By the way, the settlement made on Woody's case by the rail- road was one railroad fare to New Orleans, so Mr. Woody will have to buy one fare for Rosa Lois.
