Juniors Have A “Velly Interesting” Year This year's Junior Class was unique in its unusual display of enthusiasm and organization. Led by the class officers, they achieved the impossible by meeting their prom goal long before Christmas. Several of their moneymaking projects wore new innovations. A large portion of their goal was met with tho profits from a basketball game featuring the Wayzata Old-timers (alias The Faculty) against the Harlem Diplomats. The sale of caramel apples after school also helped to boost their finances. Industrious Juniors could be seen selling candy at the home basketball games. These projects, along with the profit from their sale of Zip Code Directories as Sophomores, well covered the expenses of Prom. The Juniors have played an important role in school activities. Their willingness to cooperate and their ability to get things done have helped stimulate lagging school spirit. The make-up of our teams, especially of our basketball and hockey teams, has been comprised of a large number of Juniors. Our team records could vastly improve with these experienced players next year. The Class of 70 has ployed an active and vital part at Wayzata this year.
