Foreign Students Maria Luiza Oliveira da Veiga Guillermo Bernos was born on May 16, 1953 in Lima, Peru. His father’s name is Guillermo Bernos and his moth- ers name is Delia Bernos. His father is a director of the National Bank and is manager of the Central Reserve Bank in Lima. His mother is a housewife. Bill, as we call him, lives in San Antonio, Miraflores, Lima, Peru. He attends Colegio Santa Maria. Bill became interested in coming to America through the International Fellowship Club. He said he wanted to come to America to meet people and to see what America was like. Also, to learn to speak English better. On February 4, 1970, Bill was made an honorary “Ok- ie by Oklahoma Governor Dewey Bartlett. He makes his home in America with Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Fischer. Maria Luiza Oliveira da Veiga was born in Birigui on De- cember 12,1952. Her father's name is Luiz Roberto Ribeiro da Luz Veiga. He works in the Bank of State of SSo Paulo. Her mother's name is Maria Jose'Oliveira da Veiga. She teaches fourth grade in Grupo Escolar Marques De S5o Vicente. Luiza lives in Santos, SSo Paulo, Brazil. She is a student at Colegio S3o Jose'. She has studied English and French for four years and speaks Portugese. Luiza became interested in coming to America through the International Fellowship Club. She said she wanted to come to America to see what it was like. She also said she came because she likes to meet people. Her other interests include membership in a theater group. She is interested in becoming a clinical psychologist or a career in communications or the theater. On February 4,1970, Luiza was made an honorary “Okie by Governor Bartlett.
