Coach While the year was a poor one on the score board, something is always learned. Expe rience and knowledge were gained and, with the right combination of players, will help a lot in 1960. The fans seemed to feel the same way, for their sentiments were, Well, there's always next year. We'll get ’emthen. With some spirit and determination, may- be we can! Although the Railroader didn’t take the state championship, they proved themselves to be top in this part of Oklahoma by winning first place in both district and regional tourna- ments. The Rails fought their way to the state semi-finals where they were beaten by Wheatly. They also took the top honors in both invitational tournaments they entered, the Cherokee Invitational and the Northwest State College Invitational. Although they won the title of North Canadian Conference Champs, they missed the Northwest Conference title by losing three games, one to Woodward and two to Fairview. The Railroaders played brilliantly all season and are proud to boast two members on the 1960 All State Team. Although they did not win the state championship, they are still CHAMPS to us. We are very proud of their wonderful record and excellent sportsmanship. JUNIOR HIGH FOOTBALL Potential Railroaders----The Junior Rails, consisting of members of the 7th, 8th, and 9th grades, breezed through their season with 5 wins and 2 losses.
