Cornelia Imogene Logan was elected presidentg Thelma Vivian Smith, S vice-presidentg Mildred Louise Eskew, secretaryg Freda Mathers, sponsor. The club met every Friday and discussed many problems concerning health and sanitation. l U o U u U U I Q 9 Q u E The class decided to publish an Aceria and in order to sell the great- E est possible number they chose sides and held a contest Eula Pauline Switzer was leader of the Hoovers and Ethel Elizabeth Collins leader of the Smiths The Smiths won the contest having sold thirty five more Acerias than the other side As 1 iesult the winners w ere delightfully entertained at a social giy en in their honor by the Hooveis A Weiner ioast was held at the home of Ethel Marie Harshbarger It was a very beautiful ey enmg and Miss Harshbaiger had a huge fire built and when the guests arriy ed everyone enioyed the feast immensely About twenty were present including their sponsors Mr Grenard and Miss Couty Each one felt sorrow in then hearts because this was their last weiner roast The Seniors with the teachers Mi Gienard and Mr Hall decided that they wanted to get aw ay from the hum drum of school so on the date of February 21 they left Waynetown by special bus at 7 30 a m for Ind1 napolls They ai rived there about 10 00 and went to the Capitol Build ing They listened to the reading of some bills in the House foi about three quarters of an hour and they then went to the Senate where some yeiy strong arguments weie heard against a law which was being con sidered and voted upon After leaying the senate each one had the pleasure of shaking hands with Goyernor Leslie and yiewing the pictures of all previous goy ernors of Indiana The party then dined and attended the show Give and Take at the Indiana theatre The postoffice and the Indiana W ar Memoiial were then visited One place which appealed to all present was the Indianapolls News office Thev were taken through all the departments including the room in which plain paper goes on a huge roller and oy er seyeral other rollers and comes out a folded paper Ex ery one receiy ed a souven11 from the de 1 ment After a well spent dav they retired to the Clay pool Hotel for an hour W l or o of recreation then they dined As it was still rathei early in the ey emng they w ent window shopping before going to the English theatre to see the Shakespearean play Hamlet They arriy ed in Way netown at 2 30 1 m F1 iday tned and sleepy but 5 well satisfied w 1th the way they had spent the day Z 7 Ax! ww ff' L Uesagp 4:3 is me 2 satan-:fra -,,g':- C, ga S.
