Bob Pressley Annual Advisors . . . Miss Margaret Chambers, Miss Harriet Phoenix NINETEEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY- EIGHT 2 Haywood We, the Senior Class of 1958, are presenting this yearbook as a pictorial record of our accomplishments at W. T. H. S. On the pages of this book are recaptured many precious moments and long-remembered friendships of the past years. With memories of the months of dreaming, planning, and working that comprise the “Mountaineer”, we dedicate our annual to Mr. M. H. Bowles, the District Superintendent, so well known to all of us, sincerely hoping ' that this book, in some small measure, will show Mr. Bowles how very much we appreciate his inspirational guidance and interest in us.oHis willing¬ ness to help in any way he can, and his ability to cope with all problems have instilled within our hearts a deep sense of respect and admiration for Mr. Bowles. We have reached the first open gate on the road to our individual goals, and we realize that this milestone would never have been reached without Mr. Bowles’ leadership. We are privileged to have the honor of dedicating our annual to such a fine C]hristian man. 4 5 Remembering all the little things that counted . . . seeing the knowledge that wiser ones had to give . . . worrying about book reports and mid-terms, Junior-Senior, and the May Dance . . . thrilling to the kick-off and the excitement over the Canton-Waynesville game.heaving a sigh of relief when exams are over .... and finally realizing that it was all worthwhile.
