DALE McELROY LACENIA FRANKLIN oem As parting time is drawing nigh, We think of all the years gone by, Of joys and sorrows shared as one. And of delight in things well done. We’ll miss the walls of our dear school. We’ll ne’er forget the friends so true. Nor teachers sharing joys and fears. And struggling with us through the years. Our high school days are at an end. But, oh, to live them once again. Those times when trouble was not known. And lines of grief were never shown. Although we all shall soon be gone To do the work of life’s unknown, We’ll help to make a better land. While doing as Christ did command. —Bernice Smathers
