The purpose of the art class in our school is to introduce students to art activities so they gain some ideas as to what is required for one who might be interested in entering this field. The art field is a specialized one. It is not crowded and the opportunities are many today. The cultural value of such study is neces- sary for one to complete a well rounded edu- Art Class cation. The students of this class have an op- portunity to produce many different types of art work. ln addition to this, Mr. Rinehart, the art supervisor, acts as art sponsor for the ORACLE. It is his iob to appoint someone to do the art work and supervise this work. This year, Charles Kinney, a member of the class and also editor of this book was responsible for all the sketches. Nature Study Club The Nature Study Club is made up of during the year. This year they planned a members of the Nature Study Class. Most of trip to Pittsburgh. Future Nurses ot America The main purpose of the Future Nurses' Club is to help girls decide whether or not they want to be nurses. All our activities are planned with this purpose in view. Our girls wcrk at the hospital two days each semester, we visit hospitals in surrounding communities, and we have movies and speakers so that members of the Future Nurses Club can learn the requirements for admission to schools of nursing, and also they may learn the fields cf work open to graduate registered nurses. Our club sponsors no social activities because we are a pre-professional club. The girls offer their services in the nurses room during the school day.
