Le Cercle Francais is composed ot mem- bers of the second year French class. The club's main purpose is to give the students an opportunity to further their study of France, its history, customs, people, and especially its language. This was done during the year by the use of French plays, film strips, pictures Mrs. Jabour speaking at one of the club's meetings. French Club of France and of French provincial and his- torical costumes, French legends and music, and a guest speaker whenever possible. All meetings held once a month are conducted in French and every member takes part in the club's activities in some manner. Forensics The Forensics club is affiliated with the Na- tional Forensic League and abides by its regu- lations for members. This group is one ofthe most active in our school for it participates in tournaments at least once a month and some- times twice. Of the group there are about seven or eight members who participate in every tournament. On March 23 the semi- finals for the year were held and several of our people participated in them. Titled Ger- aldine and the White Robe, the story con- cerned a young teen-age girl who spent most of her time and her thoughts on herself. On Christmas Day through a mix-up, she learned the true meaning of Christmas and of giving. The part of Geraldine, the mixed-up teen ager was played by Connie McClelland with a fine supporting cast. Two ofthe Camera Club members developing their negatives. Camera Club This year the Camera Club membership was so large that it was necessary to divide the group into two sections. These groups met on alternate Thursday nights at the Pres- byterian Parish House where they developed and printed the pictures they had taken. Club Officers President Jim Garrettson Vice President Robb Bartholomew Secretary Diana Duffield Treasurer Ken Willison Sponsor Miss Myers The Camera Club and its sponsor, Miss Myers, were responsible tor taking all of the snapshots found in the ORACLE.
