Forensics The Forensics club is affiliated with the Na- tional Forensic League and abides by its regu- lations for members. This group is one ofthe most active in our school for it participates in tournaments at least once a month and some- times twice. Of the group there are about seven or eight members who participate in every tournament. On March 23 the semi- finals for the year were held and several of our people participated in them. Then during the month of April, the finals were held. Club Officers President Connie McClelland Vice President . Titled Ger- aldine and the White Robe, the story con- cerned a young teen-age girl who spent most of her time and her thoughts on herself. On Christmas Day through a mix-up, she learned the true meaning of Christmas and of giving. The part of Geraldine, the mixed-up teen ager was played by Connie McClelland with a fine supporting cast. The Beta Tri-Hi-Y had a busy and success- ful year. Among their worthwhile projects for the year was the program planned for Brotherhood Week. The program consisted of a Frank Sinatra film, The House I Live In and a choral reading, Brotherhood of Man. Three freshmen and three sophomores took part in the choral reading. Beta Tri-Hi-Y To finance their many charitable works, the girls operated a concession during the winter sports season, and also sponsored a bakesale. In the spring the girls held their annual Spring Banquet. They also sent delegates to attend the national Conference held at Ox- ford College for Women, Miami, Ohio. Club Officers President ,, .... . Le Cercle Francais is composed ot mem- bers of the second year French class. The club's main purpose is to give the students an opportunity to further their study of France, its history, customs, people, and especially its language. This was done during the year by the use of French plays, film strips, pictures Mrs. Jabour speaking at one of the club's meetings. French Club of France and of French provincial and his- torical costumes, French legends and music, and a guest speaker whenever possible. All meetings held once a month are conducted in French and every member takes part in the club's activities in some manner.
