Foreword For the class of 1960 the curtain is about to fall on our experience with life at Waynesboro High School. As it falls, we see the friends we have had, the things we have learned, and the activities we have participated in. This 1960 Skyline presents a glance at our part in the play of life here. We are not sad that the curtain is falling, but we are truly glad, because we realize that it will rise again on a new type of life. This Skyline is published with the hope that those who follow us will be able to gain from our experiences. 4

Skyline Staff Footprints, Moxie, and the subscription drive were the first outward signs this year that the annual staff had begun work on the 1960 edition. The staff, however, had been diligently working since they had been selected in March of 1959. Then came a flurry of picture taking, retakes, and pic¬ tures that did not come back on time. Amidst the Christmas holidays, basketball season, and exams, staff members could be seen hurrying up and down the halls, searching for lost people, pictures, and pencils. The new additions this year have been: the special class history sections at the end of the Senior, Junior, and Soph¬ omore pictures, the white sweaters for the Juniors and Fresh¬ men, and the more useable dividers. The Skyline staff sincerely hopes that within these pages you will find something that brings back memories of your happy years at Waynesboro High School. Mr. John A. Brown JVe Shall Remember Mr. Brown, who has been at Waynesboro High School since 1952, has devoted much time to the academic betterment of his stu¬ dents. In his government, speech, and history classes he has accom¬ plished more than is required of a teacher by inculcating on his stu¬ dents a genuine appreciation of our heritage and the art of speaking. In addition to his school work, Mr. Brown has helped the Juniors with their annual variety show. Thus, in deepest gratitude, the Senior Class deems it their privi¬ lege to dedicate the 1960 SKYLINE to Mr. John A. Brown. 5
