School Board A vital part of Waynesboro High School’s existence is the school board. At their meetings, held twice monthly, the members discuss ways by which Waynesboro High School, as well as the other Waynesboro schools, can be run efficiently to achieve their purpose of teaching and challenging the stu¬ dents. Guidance Council The Guidance Council, under the directorship of Mrs. Schneider, gives unstintingly of their time to confer with each student and to discuss any of his problems. They seek to find what occupation a stu¬ dent is best qualified for by giving him occupational tests. The student body would like to thank Mrs. Schneider and her staff for the fine work they are doing. Mrs. Gladys N. Wood; Mr. Robert Fendley; Mrs. Marilyn Padgett; Mr. Carroll B. Mr. John A. Brown JVe Shall Remember Mr. Brown, who has been at Waynesboro High School since 1952, has devoted much time to the academic betterment of his stu¬ dents. In his government, speech, and history classes he has accom¬ plished more than is required of a teacher by inculcating on his stu¬ dents a genuine appreciation of our heritage and the art of speaking. In addition to his school work, Mr. Brown has helped the Juniors with their annual variety show. Thus, in deepest gratitude, the Senior Class deems it their privi¬ lege to dedicate the 1960 SKYLINE to Mr. John A. Brown. 5

Johnson became the principal of Waynesboro High School in the school year 1953-1954, he has contributed greatly to the scho¬ lastic and emotional growth of the students.
