PRINCIPAL Indian chief of the W.A.H.S. wigwam is Louis M. Barlup, Jr. Although busy, our principal is always ready to assist any student or faculty member with a problem. With a firm hand he directs the school to bigger and better achievements. A sports enthusiast, Mr. Barlup may often be found watching a football game, a wrestling match, a basketball game or playing golf. In his rare moments of leisure, he enjoys reading historical novels. A member of Rotary, he is an outstanding citizen of our community. Mr. Barlup was graduated from Shippensburg State College and received his M.Ed. at Western Maryland College. Francis L. Davison, our capable assistant principal, is usually engaged in his time-consuming duties: supervising attendance re- cords, coordinating class activities, and meting out necessary discipli- nary measures. He also organizes school assemblies, manages the activities calendar, handles school requisitions, and prepares the bud- get. He coordinates club and class trips and is in charge of orders for class rings and announcements. His friendly personality and droll sense of humor have won him the respect and friendship of everyone at W.A.H.S. He takes time out from his busy schedule to go horseback riding and to farm. He received his B.S. degree from Shippensburg State College and his M.Ed. degree from Western Maryland College.
