Our first move as a class was to elect officers. VVe chose Don Mort, presi- dentg Wayne Kline, vice presidentg julie Snyder, secretaryg and joe Steiner. treasurer. We presented a movie for the students and worked in the magazine drive in order to raise money for our big event, the Freshman Dance. In May. our efforts were rewarded. for our dance was a success. We really felt like senior high students with the boys dressed in starched white shirts and the girls in their first evening dresses. 1 At. W. T. H. S. officers chosen were Barry Stevenson, president: Darrell Barlup, vice president, Barbara Zearfoss, secretaryg joe Benchoff. treasurer, and Joyce Snowberger, historian. The class held a party near the end of the year. Members of our class at both schools were active in athletics, music, and other organizations. When we returned to school as sophomores we were still the underclassmen at W. H. S. We elected as officers Carroll Hartle, presidentg joe Steiner, vice president 3 julie Snyder, secretary, and jane Toms, treasurer. We presented three one act plays under the direction of Mr. Minnich. At W. T. H. S. officers were Howard Sheeley, president, Barry Stevenson, vice presidentg Barbara Zearfoss, secretary, Sara jane Csell, treasurerg and joyce Snowberger, historian. The class held its annual party in May. The big event of the year was the trip to Hershey. The class spent the entire day at the park and everyone had an enjoyable time. Again we entered the doors of our high school, this time as one class. W. H. S. and W. T. H. S. had united to form W.A. H. S. After we had be- come better acquainted we chose officers. We elected joe Steiner, presidentg Howard Sheeley, vice president g Virginia Stover, secretaryg and Sara jane Gsell, treasurer. C The outstanding event of our junior year was the junior-Senior Prom. The dance was a gala affair with an under-sea theme. Afterwards, a snack was served, followed by a special movie and then breakfast. It was a great success, and our efforts to provide a full evening of varied entertainment were enjoyed by all. Under the guidance of Mr. Bitner and Mr. Cutchall, the class had a worth- while project. We presented three one act plays, 'fOpening N ight, A Girl in Every Port, and The Professor Roarsf' Near the end of the year we: ordered class rings, our first step toward becoming seniors. In September of 1955 we entered the doors of W. A. H. S. for our last first day of school. Our year was filled with class activities. We elected joe Steiner, president, Clair Eden, vice presidentg Virginia Stover, secretary, and Sara jane Gsell, treasurer, to lead us in our senior year. We sponsored many money-making projects to aid us in our trip to New York City. The class sold stationery and held food sales. The class play, Time Out For Ginger, was a great success. The home economics girls made and sold doughnuts on Shrove Tuesday. The senior activities filled the last month of school for us. The l'rom given us by the juniors and the New York trip were soon things of the past and Baccalaureate and Commencement were here. In time the memories of the class events may fade, but we will never forget the friendships we have shared. C Page Fifteen
