One is chosen for this honor from the qualifications of character, scholarship, leadership, and service. The organization's only activity is the tea for the new members and their parents which is held afterward.

STUDENT COUNCIL F N139-: J. -M Officers: Chuck Chellevey, President: Fred Long. Vice Presidentg Jane Hackett, Secretaryg Steve Emerson, Treasurer. The members of the Student Council form the most important and influential organization in school. It fills the missing link between faculty and student relations. Some activities which the Student Council heads are the annual Spring Dance, the Homecoming ceremonies, the Youth-in-Government elections, and numerous dances and social events throughout the school year. It has also initiated the Scholarship Letter program. The Student Council is a ready and willing helper to both the faculty and student body.

Wayneda1e's Troupe meets throughout the year and works with the Drama Club to encourage students to take part in dramatic events and also to encourage Drama Club members to work towards Thespian membership. In order to be considered for membership to this club a student must earn a total of at least ten points. These points are earned by participating in play production or indi- vidual speech events, such as declamations, poetry reading and debate.
