Message We can look with pride at the improve- ments in our second year as Wayne-Woodstock High School. We have added a home economics department, drivers education and have had chemistry for the first time in several years. If we can continue to work together in the same spirit our other problems will vanish. 3 ffl 1 fZLQ:vN 1 fu' us 1 ma 1 ' W 2225, wmcwm. As all small children, we happily looked forward to the prospect of attending school, but now that the 12 long years have passed, we are looking forward to grad- uation and the many happy experiences of life. CABLE There are seven of the original class which started their journey 12 years ago graduating. They are: Gene Instine, Priscilla Perry, James Adams, Barbara Bean, Bill Sewers, Robert Trimble, and Mary Cushman. In the second grade, Ray Smith joined us from DeGraff. As we journeyed on, we picked up Kenneth Knief in the fourth grade. The last new member to join our class was Marjorie Bailey, in the loth grade, from Woodstock. WOODSTOCK At the same time Charles Davisson, David Field, Carol Williams, Robert Hayes, and John Stimmel also began a journey through school. Donna Lou Henry joined us in the second grade from Michigan. The fourth grade brought Charles Bell from Ottawa County. Don and Ina Mary Ogden came from Christiansburg-Jackson in the eighth grade. Marjorie Bailey came from Monroe in the ninth grade and left to attend Cable in the tenth Grade. WAYNE-WOODSTOCK At the beginning of the school year 1952-53 the educational paths of Cable and Woodstock merged. We found traveling together quite a pleasant expenience highlighted by such events as producing nHillbilly Weddinu as our Junior Class Play, nEverybodys Crazyn in our Senior year, trips to Urbana Courts, Columbus, and finally our weeks trip to Washington D. C. Indeed the way has been pleasant and profitable and on May 27 in Milford Center Gymnasium we can joyfully say, Destination Reached. 6 f 2 'Q X 47, 'W 1 f sk ff . '1,.ifI W' if . sf, .. Soon we started talking about previous vacations and found out that some of us had seen some of the Seniors of '5h. We were all quite anxious to hear what they were doing now and you'd be surprised at the many different occupations which different ones were following. Years surely change things, for instance: In Florida, David Fields is now the manager of a large hotel, he seems to enjoy his free life as a bachelor. Gene Instine is living in Texas now and is a very wealthy oilman. He was driving a new Cadillac and had a very pretty girl by his side. At the Kentucky Golf Club, in Kentucky, one of the class members ran into Robert Trimble, who told him that he and Nancy have three boys which are 2 years old and are golf experts. At the Walter Reed Hospital in Washington D. C. we found Donna Lou Henr who was head nurse in one of the wards which held some-5T'5uF wounded service boys, who likes her work very much. We also ran into Senator BE? Smith, who is planning on running for the Presidency at the next e ectlon. He and Linda are living in a forty-five room mansion on Pennsylvania Avenue. Mr. and Mrs. David Murray were visiting in New York City and saw quite a few of the 'Sh Seniors. Charles Davisson is owner of the DANDY DAMPER DIAPER CO. He has a very pretty secretary who was a girl from North Lewisburg. Carol Williams is now Mrs. Floyd DeLaney and also the manager of the 5iIANHY'MODEEING SCHOOL. They are soon coming back to Ohio for a vacation. Kenn Knief is the Master of Ceremonies of the Great T,V Show THE WHITTIEST WHITE. Good luck Kenny on your T V Show and also your family. Marjorie Bailey is now a model in a large department store, quite famous, she is still looking for a good looking husband. We found that most of the Seniors still live in Ohio. Quite a few of the farmers in Champaign County now get their chickens at BILL SQEEBLS AND SONS HATCHERY in Urbana, we might add that he has a very beautiful wife. John Stimmel is now a veterinarian in Urbana and has six sons, we didn't see his wife. Q92 and Priscilla Ogden now have a large farm just outside of Urbana and seem to be doing very well. They have two small children named Donny Jr. and Prissy. Ina Mary Ogden is now Mrs. Kenny Crabtree and they have a Kenny Jr. and a Susy Q. Kenny is employed at the NUT, POTATO CHIP CO. in Springfield. Ina is just a housewife. Barbara Bean is head surgical nurse at a hospital in Springfield and Barby is still playing the field. In Woodstock, Robert Hayes and Sons have a Sentinel Television Shop. By the way Bob and-Jackie have a new l97h Mercury. At Wayne-Woodstock High School we have a most able Dr1ver's Training teacher, Miss Mary Cushman, it seems Mary couldn't bear to leave school. Charles Bell is now residing on a farm outside of Woodstock. He has a large dairy farm and also nine girls. Keeps him pretty busy. Jim Adams is a driver with the INDIANA SPEED DEMONS, quite a famous auto racer now, has been driving since he graduated. 17 all We, the Senior Class of IQEL, of the towns of Cable and Woodstock, County of Champaign and State of Ohio, being of sound mind and body after these four years of High School, do hereby make public and declare this to be our last will and testament: hereby revoking all former wills, bequests and devices, of whatsoever nature or form, heretofore made by us. I, Marjorie Bailey, will Nancy Terrell my ability to get along with everyone and treat everyone the same because no one in this world is better than enyone else. We, Mary Cushman and Carol Williams, will to Betty Bailey our ability to skipp class and get by with it, our ability to take a tease, our curly hair, C?D our ambition to study, our beloved govern- ment book. We think that is enough we don't want to jinks her. I, Ray Smith, will to Linda Lincoln my ability to be a good driver, and get along with her driving teacher, Ray Smith. I, Robert Trimble, will a couple of inches of my height to Bill Freeman so he can see to drive carefully and not to have more than two wrecks a year. I, Bill Sowers, will to Loraine Mingus my height. We, Priscilla and Ina Mary Ogden, will to Donna Nance our ability to become engaged. I, Don Ogden, will to Mike Smith ability to keep grades up during basketball season. They are not only athletic minded but are good sports in all aspects of the sports whether on the playing field or at a social function. The club took nine new members in this year. They were: Janet Deere, Sandra Oyer, Shirley Henry, Barbara DeLaney, Betty Preston, Charlene Organ, Janet Huffman, Betty Moore, and Julia Jones. Some of our activities this year were: the Christmas Party, a bake sale, and selling shampoo. Each girl will receive a membership card and a letter in April. we have had a lot of fun working together. 36 B. Outram, W. Coates, R. Johnson, B. Smith, R. Brough, P. McKenzie E. Tussing, J.
