Formerly housed on Putnam, the Union's new location rovides reater s ace for loun es, in - on 9 P QP 9, cards and study rooms. A music room, Tea Lounge, and various meet- ing rooms are provided for students on campus. Joan Mish reigned as Governor's Lady at the annual ball spon- sored by the Mackenzie Union Board of Governors. Proceeds from Highly Seasoned, annual men's revue, went into the Mackenzie Union Scholarship Fund, which provides a year's free education to a male student of a Michigan high school.

Under the di- rection of Paul Kazander, speech instructor, broadcasting was done over stations WWJ, WXYZ, WJR, WJLB and WCAR, and a full week schedule was maintained. Programs included Streets of Detroit, Design in Drama, and Books Bring Adventure. Acting, directing, producing and writing experience are afforded to Guild members. Awards are avail- able for scripts used in Broadcasting Guild programs for the purpose of encouraging creative and experimental productions.
