This year Wayne paused to scrutinize her contributions to this region during the last fifty years and was pleased with what she saw. On October 27, J 892, the Committee on Supplies authorized Professor J. M. Pile to procure the following supplies: One complete set of maps, one set of anatomical charts, one twelve-inch globe, three tables, one hundred wooden chairs, one chapel organ, two hanging lamps, and two dozen erasers. These constituted the main equipment of the Nebraska Normal physical plant. The four faculty members conducted classes in a one-room building downtown until the four-story main campus building was completed. tToday none of the original structures remain.
