THIS HOOK IS PRESENTED TO THE YOUTH OF WAYNE STATE AS A REMINDER We live in the midst of a wealth and prosperity that passes unnoticed. The physical structure of our campus is growing by rapid advancement. We observe the changes and we accept them; but the knowledge and appreciation of why this growth occurs is noticeably lacking. The “why” is a wealth that passes unnoticed. There is a devoted, concerned attitude for the youth of our campus which comes from the faculty and administration. The long years many of the staff have spent in service have not been for the purposes of fame and fortune. The “purpose” is a wealth that passes unnoticed. A growth that surpasses all is within ourselves as students. The advancement in maturity and in intelligent judgment of a student during his four years on a college campus is unequal in value to any form of known advancement. To the students, this “growth” is a wealth that passes unnoticed. The “why,” the “purpose,” and the “growth” have definite meanings. They are the wealth and prosperity for the youth of the campus. The particular reason for this publication is to serve through the years as a constant reminder to you of what has been done for you. Everything we have has been done expressly for the youth of Wayne State—and rightly so. May you gain knowledge of this, appreciate it, and take advantage of it—your wealth and prosperity.
