How many minutes we have here, how many hours, days, weeks, months or years . . . it makes little difference to unending time, The only thing it knows, is hurrying by . . . walking into the years, the centuries that lie ahead. Man's only hope lies in using it wisely . . . making the most of each precious tick of the clock! table of contents Admumstratwon Sensors Undergraduates Afhlefncs Actwvmes Adverhsemenf Index A 4 183 . . This bitter defeat was the cause of a let down on the part of the whole team, and as a result Wayne lost the next three games to Lincoln Park, Western, and F o r d s o n high schools, The night that we won our first game from lnkster was the turning point in spite of a tough loss to Ypsilanti of 7 to O the following week. The team ended up the season by scoring 95 points in the last three games, having no score against them, and ending the season with a record of four wins and five losses. Coach Domke remarked, l will miss the kids who are leaving this year, as many of them have been the backbone of the football picture at Wayne High for the last three years. They are definitely men as evidenced by the way they stood up to the toughest schedule in Michigan two out of the last three years. 6 schedule Sept. Wind, rain, sleet, and snow forced the match to be halted after nine holes. The conditions also accounted for the poor showing by both teams. Coach Morley says, Lack of practice time and blustering weather hurt us badly. We are not as bad as our first showing indicated. cross country Cross-Country is the newest of the varsity sports offered at Wayne Memorial High. The new team, composed mostly of underclass- men, had a fair first season with two wins and eight losses, Cross-Country is a two mile run. The two miles covers every pos- sible type of landscape. The team ran the first night meet in this area against Allen Park at Allen Park. The entire two mile course was marked by flares. The second such meet will be run in the fall of T956 against Thurston High School at Wayne. Row l: Fred Komender, Dennis Mura, ray, Ron Demming, Paul Hoffman, Jim DeNoyer.
