e new' Catngggews Give the world the best you have and the best wi come back to you en rd Gfe owtgresment Wxth plgtalls, short skirts, a scared and awed feelmg, the class of 48 romped into Wayne High School as Freshles ln 1944 Ted Ndf was elected president but as Freshies we were quite restricted ln our actxviues As we passed mto the Sophomore class, we began to feel smoother and surer of ourselves We were on the bunk of belng upperclassmen. of the year was ordenng our class nngs which thrilled us through and through In 47 we were upper classmen at last, Juniors and we had class rings to prove it New sponsors were elected that year Mrs Clyne and Mr Luccock Stanley Kerbyson was chosen president Our first formal dance, the annual I Hop, at McKenny Hall on February 12th, was considered most successful Ou- sandwich sales, concessions at games, and the sale of Christmas cards helped to boost our treasury Black and white became the class colors W bade farewell to the class of '47 with a sigh and H ' a MOTTO Our president was john Abner.
