C LASS OF 1 946 OFFICERS Presxdent Harry Prleskorn V1ce Presldent Don Mason Secretary Iean Dunn Treasurer Dolores Sulhvan Sponsors Mxss Manon E Morse Mr Fred Allen C LASS HISTORY 1942 found us as green a group of fresh1es as ever graced the halls of Wayne Hlgh However, w soon settled down suff1c1ent1y to select Mrs Bower and Mr Allen as our sponsors and orgamzed the class under the leadershlp of Bud Blackwell Our act1v1t1es were l1m1ted to a class party held 1n m1d We spent a restful Sophomore year w1th Don Mason as presldent Slnce we had no sponsors, we con flned our act1v1t1es to selectmg class nngs In 1944, we assumed the respons1b1l1t1es connected wlth belng Iuruors We elected B111 Masterson, presldent, and Mlss Morse and Mr Allen became our sponsors Wlth the Seruor Crluse as our obyec t1ve, we earned a tldy sum selllng Chrxstmas cards, which was qulckly followed by the class pla Aunt Susle Shoots the Works d1rected by Mlss Klaaren We rang down the curtaln on an eve 1tful year wxth our I Hop wluch was extremely successful September 1945 ushered 1n the flnal era of our hxgh school careers Wxth Harry Prleskorn as our pres1dent we sponsored the tradxtlonal Fall Frohc whlch had as 1ts theme the emblems of the season s football opponents The Flghtxng Llttles, our class play, was d1rected by Mrs Rlce, and presented shortly before Chrlstmas Meanwh1le, the staff was workmg fevermshly on the new and 1mproved 1946 Spectator Upon returmng from the long awaxted Semor Cru1se, we found ourselves deep 1n the plans for the Semor Prom and the many actxvxtles wluch mark graduatlon 14 x S' I J v Aa 3 l . .
