ELDEN BRIGHAM Senior Class History With the Senior Prom, Class Night, and Commencement, we, the Class of 1940, make our farewell bow to Wziyne High School. XVe can now look back with pride on four busy years. We as green, frightened Freshies were the first baby class to demonstrate our talents in an AllfFrosh Assembly. As Sophs we spent an active year socially with picnics and parties. Our Junior year enabled us to really prove our mettle. As a dramatic presentation, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer had no equal. Our jfI'Iop, with Ferdinand the Bull enlivening the evening, set a social peak for all future classes to attempt to attain. As Seniors we were the first class in twenty years to produce a year book and the first class to plan a cruise for skip day. We are moving rapidly toward graduation and the completion of our high school careers. XVe look back on four happy years in Wayne High with pleasure in our achievements but with regret that these days are over. A council, made up of some of the members of the hand, has charge of thc hand activities. The activities for the year included playing faithfully at all athletic events, presenting the formal concert in the fall, playing at Grosse Pointe in the South- eastern Nlichigan Band Festival, presenting the Frolic in May, and taking part in the State Festival at Ann Arbor in April. n 4 , -- 1..- -P92 if lllflllll .f 'W 'C'6S5 au', fo ww 1 Rfb V' Y ,ga ...ww 9 wa If M D 'lllllllllllllllllllllll -144 HOME ECONOMICS CLUB FIRST ROW B She rvuoud B K trhum V J Irlmler I-I Hubble SECOND ROW D Jrffarsun A bum M Whrdgr J Clark E bless Mlm Grlggs B Frye, D.
