Schwarzenhach stiff-anns a would be tackler on his way to another touchdown. A Blue Devil opponent gets hit hard by three tacklers. Bob Schwarzenbach makes like a bird while evading an Allen player. Schwarzenbach ends a long run against Stanton.

Wayne 20 - Allen O The first game of the season showed the coach many weaknesses, but Terry Wehrer played a good game and made 2 touchdowns. Wayne 25 - Madison 6 Wayne finally got going after a bad first half. Jerry Hendrickson and Bob Schwarzenbach made big gains and ,lim Hein played good defensive ball. Wayne 19 - Hartington Holy Trinity 6 The Blue Devils played one of their best games of the season with good running, blocking, and all around playing. Schwarzenbach again sparkled with a 65 yard run. Wayne 12 - Neligh 32 Fumbles, had breaks, and an inspired opposing team caused the first defeat of the season. Schwarzen- hach sparkled with a 67 yard touchdown run. Wayne 7 - Stanton 14 The second loss of the year was lost valiantly in a hard fought battle. A 45 yard touchdown play with a pass from Dennis Kern to Schwarzenbach ended the game. Wayne 43 - Harrington 6 Hendrickson, Schwarzenbach, and Kern paced the Blue Devils. Hendrickson led Wayne's brilliant of- fensive game with an 82 yard touchdown run. Wayne 20 - South Sioux 34 It was a fast moving game, and Schwarzenbach played his best game of the season by making every touchdown. Wayne 38 - Wisner 6 The Homecoming was won in proper fashion with Schwarzenbach's running and Roger Denesia's passing pacing the win. Wayne 14 - Plainview 51 The final game of the season favored Wayne in the first quarter when Wayne led 14- - O. The rest of the game was all Plainview as they went on to win.
