Woodwind quintet members are Mary Pawelski, Roberta Haas, Mary Wright, Joyce Cook, and Bill Koeber. The end of football season found the band settling down to work inside on concert material. At the Winter Concert, Dennis Manske was fea- tured as a Chef as the Band played HShortnin' Bread Special. 'iBallet for Young Americansn and Horlando Palandrinon were two other numbers performed for the concert. With the concert be- hind them, Mr. Green and the bandsmen began looking for a challenging contest number. District Music Contest marked the last appearnace of the seventeen seniors with the high school band. liowever, any of the graduates or any one in the community can participate in the summer band Richard Temme, Charles Koeber, Kenny Vogel, Jim Hein, Roland Temme, and Robert Tiedtke are in the brass sextet. series. The band gave eight concerts in Bressler Park during the summer months. Heading the Band Council's activities this year was President, Joyce Cook, Vice President, Judy Woods, Secretary, Mary Lu Pawelskig Trea- surer, Carolyn Benshoofg Quartermaster, Mary Wrightg Librarian, Maydelle Echtenkamp. The main project promoted by the council was the idea to invite Stanton's band members to be guests of Wayne Band members of the day of College Homecoming when Stanton met Wayne in a football game that evening.
