Class Prophecy Here we are in the year 1974- I We've just returned from a twenty-year vacation on Mars, that sunny vacation land over the sky, and are waiting for a space-pass at the Flying Cup here in New York City. While we're waiting, let's catch up on the latest news by reading this newspaper, the World-Wide Times, edited by none other than Joan Leonard. If I remember correctly, she was the editor of our '54 annual in high school. Look at some of the front page news! Admiral Gilbert Schmidt has recently been appointed head of the United States Navy .and will be in New York tomorrow to launch one hundred new space ships. This On The Spot column written by the world-famous columnist Gloria Ahlvers looks interesting. Gloria has also taken Ed Sullivan's place on Ghost of the Town which has been rated the top TV show for 25 years now. There are certainly some in- teresting items in this column. 'That noted orator, Barbara Larsen, is speaking tonight at Liberty Hall. She will tell of her visit with President Johnson at the Black House. I never dreamed Larry Johnson would one day be President, but that boy always did have great possibilities. The two Nobel Prizes have been awarded to two very outstanding and deserving people this year! One goes to Sondra Haas, a missionary in Africa, who has done a miraculous job of Christianizing over a million cannibals and setting up one hundred churches there. The other award goes to Dr. Doris Wentzel for curing the world K
