They took charge ot the Christmas Carolina in the halls and will also take part in the Gay Nineties Revue and the District Music Contest. They meet every Tuesday and Thursday. BOYS' QUARTETTE lt has been several years since Wayne High has had a boys' quartette. The boys sang tor Ki' Wanis, various Christmas programs, Gay Nineties Revue, District Music Con- test, Sprinq Musical, and various other occasions. I1 I' In 1944 Mr. Atkins began the task of organizing an orches- Teachers Convention and with the Norfolk Orchestra played tra. This musical group had been inactive for several yea s at fOr the evening banquet. I ' I Wayne High. Now enlarged to forty-seven members, it meets The hlghhghl gf the Yeafwus the Qrchestm Chmc' Whlch t , k was held at the c1ty auditorium. Musicians from surrounding Wlce G Wee ' I ' towns and a guest conductor helped to make it successful. The Orchestra helped entertain the night of the Iumor Class The Qrchestm also plcys G large pcm in the gmducmo Gere- Play. It also traveled to Norfolk at the time of the District monies. They will take part in the District Music Contest and the gradua- tion program.
