VGYSIIH JIMMY JACKSON was captaln of our team and the only Semor to f1n1sh out the season J1m spent most of h1s tlme plavmg guard He was a regular and an outstandmg player Hls 307 polnts were h1ghest on the varslty He w1ll be greatly mlssed next year BILL BASSETT IS one of the tallest boys on the squad He played for vsard and was one of the most conslstent players on the team B111 IS a J umor and can be depended upon for a good Job next year ART RICHISON a Senlor dld not get to play the whole season because of an eye 1nJ ury He played forward and dxd a good Job of reboundmg JIMMY STUTTS IS a Sophomore and at 6 9 IS by for the tallest bov on the squad The blg center played qulte a blt on the varslty and show ed a bxg lmprovement over hls Freshman year He should be a val uable player for the next two years DALLAS JOHNSTON IS a Junxor transferred from Rochelle He played plaver He wlll be back 1n 53 FRED MITCHELL after a rather slow start plas ed good ball 1n the latter part of the season Fred w1ll be a Semor next Jear and an asset to Wayne City DICK WOOD IS a good rebounder and IS a good shot He played qu1te a. b1t on the flrst team and d1d a credltable Job DONNIE LAPPIN a Sophomore was a substltute on the varslty He has helght and a good chance of belng a regular next year BOBBY HALL played on the second team and vsas substltute on the flrst He has a good hook shot and knows how to handle a ball KENNETH GOOD the shortest person on the squad has ab1l1ty for shoot- mg long shots We w1ll be glad to have hxm on the team ln 53 DALE TYLER a Sophomore that shows ab1l1ty ln basketball He came to Wayne C1tJ from Monroe Center Hlgh and was placed on the basketball squad.
