Most of Mrs. Janet Ransley's life has been spent contributing to the education of children. She graduated in 1934 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Syracuse University where she was a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority, an elected member of Pi Mu Epsilon, Mathematics Honoraryg Sigma Pi Sigma, National Physics Honorary, and a member of the Womens Athletic Association Board. In 1943 she received her Master of Science Degree, also from Syracuse University. Previous to teaching in Wayne Central, she taught at Lyrrcourt School in Syracuse, and Cortland High School in Cortland, New York. Since 1950 she has taught math and science here at Wayne Central, opening many ears to the great task of learning. Both she and her husband, Mr. Rexford Ransley, are active members of the First Baptist Church of Ontario. With skiing as one of their main interests, Mr. and Mrs. Ransley spend as much free time as possible in Vermont and the Adirondack Mountains. They both lHce an- tiques and have chosen many fine examples of early Americana for their home, which is one of the older houses in the community. Much of their spare time has been spent in restoring the Ransley homestead to its original beauty. They also share an avid in- terest in the legitimate theater. And Mrs. Ransley still finds time to sew. This year she is an advisor to the Junior class and the advisor of the Mathematics Club which was newly organized this year.
