R 3 3,. ..i'1e wr, ..,-- XQNN-7 GUIDANCE To the Seniors. There is reported to be a very mysterious cave on the island of New Guinea. A person can row a small boat through the passages of this cave and if one is not particularly careful about making noise, there may be seen thousands of glow worms or fire flies giving the cavern an eerie glow of halfaillumination. However. if the boatsman slides through the waters silently, the glow worms are not disturbed and do not shine, leaving the cave in totaldarkness, lt seems to me people are like these glow worms. If they be- come self-satisfied. complacent, sluggish and over contented. they do not shine: and their lives are dull, colorless, and unnoticed. On the other hand, when people are concerned, aroused, and inquisitive, their lives are more apt to illuminate the dark caverns of our com- plex world. XVe say that their personalities glow with radiance and warmth. So. Seniors - be concerned about the world around you, be- come aroused about the injustices of life, be inquisitive about the mysteries of life - your life is bound to shine more brightly. Parker N.
