A dream - we all had a part in it, Each of us tried to portray the inspiring role. Hopes and hearts counted on it. Although some of us had to struggle a little harder -- slipping, sliding, and pulling, we managed to fulfill the expectations of those to whom it mattered most. Help - we all needed it. Disappointments and disillusions were lessened by untiring listeners. Victories were more triumphant because they gladdened more than one heart. The dream is no longer a dream, but a reality. In appreciation of their patience, foresight, and words of encour- agement, and for all the sacrifices they have made for us, we, the Class of '57, with sincere love and gratitude, dedicate The Eagle to OUR PARENTS. 4
