Sarazyn Student Director We Shook The Family Tree was a three act comedy full of animation and fun for both the cast and the audience. We had rehearsals for six weeks and the ambitious cast finally produced a play full of hilarious characters. A matinee was put on at Walworth and Ontario, also an evening performance at Ontario. Fol- lowing the play the cast went out to sup per and had a wonderful time. The Senior Play was one of the highlights for the Seniors of W.C.S. The Student Council, under the leadership of President Carmilla Noto and Vice-President Phil Markham, busily prepared to carry out ambitious plans for the year. After sponsoring a widely appreciated Amateur Show, the members plunged into the business of drawing up a new Constitution for Wayne Central. Back Row: R. Barber, M. Alborn, S. Freer, K. Ambroz, D. The Safety Patrol of Wayne Central still maintains its high standard of pro- tection for the students of the school. The members do their jobs capably and well, whether their duty is on buses, crosswalks, or in the cafeteria. They make sure that no child is endangered by the conduct of others and provide punish- ment for those disobeying the necessary rules. With twenty-two e er girls ready to learn homemaking, the Wayne Central FTB.A. planned many activities to keep them busy. They earned the undying gratitude of the soccer players in October when they staged a supper for them as a reward for a successful season. To add to their treasury, they sponsored a square dance after one of the home basketball ames. To further raise the level of their treasury, they hid a baked food sale in February. Many went home well satisfied by the tasty food baked by the F.ll.A. members. Future plans for the year were to attend a demonstration in April at the Rochester Gas 31 Electric Co., and to hold a picnic at the end of the year. They also plan to raise more money in an effort to send two members of the F.H.A. to camp. This camp is for the purpose of providing social contact and recreation for the irls and teachin them at the same time. Gladys Lucas Eolds the post 0? president. Jackie Benton became the new secretary and Jeannette Keymel became the treasurer. Mrs. Colburn, as advisor, helped them out of difficulties and taught them much about homemaking. 14
