or 27 years. Mr. Bibeau has been a part of Wayland High School. He has touched all who have met him in a very special way with his contagious smile and remarkable sense of humor. Perhaps his sense of humor stems from the fact that he has tasted many aspects of life. For five years during WWII. Mr. Bibeau served in the Southwest Pacific. Upon his return home in 1944, he attended Clark University where he received degrees in Biology and in Chemistry. He then went on to receive a masters degree in Bacteriology and Public Health from the University of Massachu- setts: and a second masters. an MS in Education at Worcester State College. Mr. Bibeau met his bride at the University of Massachusetts and was an expectant father upon his departure from Worcester State College. He then worked in a machine shop for three years while taking correspondence courses in Industrial Engineering. Mr. Bibeau worked at the Worcester Foundation for Experimental Biology for five years before coming to Wayland. ln 1958, Mr. Bibeau came to Wayland and has since been a valuable addition to Wayland High Always willing to lend a help- ing hand. Mr. Bibeau can be found with his students during or after school. Not only fame he help with Chemistry, but he also is 4 - Dedication there as a friend. One might coax him into watching the big game that afternoon, or perhaps interview him for a History project. Whatever the need, Mr. Bibeau is always there and willing to give it his best shot. ln the classroom, Mr. Bibeau's unique method of teaching proves to be very successful. This combination of his knowledge of Chemistry with his interesting and often funny stories has become a well known tradition even among those who have not known him as a teacher. Mr. Bibeau has also proved to be a very successful writer. He has published a series of multilevel, independant study courses in Chemistry through Addison-Wesley which have been selling throughout the country and abroad for many years. He also developed his own company, Allisande, an acronym for elements in the Periodic Table. Following his retirement, Mr. Bibeau hopes to continue in his writing and write about his war years and years of teaching at Wayland High School. We dedicate the 1986 Yearbook to Mr. Bibeau in appreciation of the many talents that he has shared with us all. The best of luck to you in your writing, Mr, Bibeau.
