r. Steven Spangl has been the advisor to t e Class of 1985 for the past two years. He accepted the job after our advi- sors Freshman and Sophomore years left Wayland Hi h. In these two years he has helped us to grow and mature in a variety of ways. Through his dedication and experi- ence, he has guided our Executive Board members toward workin more closely and effectively witg one another. He has also taught us the necessity of guiding ourselves toward these same goals. Mr. Spang has spent innumerable hours of his free time helping to run and super- vising our class activities. These ac- tivities have ranged from thejunior Prom to regular Executive Board meetings in the early morning. He has smiled at us encouragingly through all of our dance and impro- visational tryouts for the senior show. In the Donkey Basketball ame which we sponsored during inter Week to raise money for Cx- fam, his torturous ride was a singu- lar act of devotion! Our fearless leader headed up the 1984 Junior ski trip to Vermont, and with the help of a few other chaperones he kept a watchful eye on all -15 stu- dents. Mr. Spang volunteered to be our ad- visor at the end of our Sophomore year, and since then he has volun- teered his friendship to each and s,r- 5 NV I i It E445 , My 2 5- - GWB' f 5 . W r Q Mr. Spang in a more erious moment Tennis anyone? every member of our class. Through his willin ness to help us with our problems ge has taught us the value of being caring peo le. He has given our class a sense oigconti- nuity and helped us to attain a strong feeling of unity. For all of his time, effort. and energy which he ave to make this class better. we the .lass of 1985 would like to thank Mr. Spang. If it had not been for him. t iese past two years would not have been as fabulous for all of us as they were. We have enjoyed your teaching, Mr. Spang, in Biology class and outside of it.
