We are all part of this reactiong we each have promoted either the atmos- phere or the impetus for change to occur - some for four years, others for but one. There are three components of success: Ability, Training, and Drive. I think we differ from student bodies of the past in that third previous compo- nent, driye. What many have discussed we have done. Along with others, we resurfaced the track, we installed outside lights for night games, we res- tructured rules which we thought were unfair, we placed ourselves in the top 500 schools of the nation, and we con- tributed to the community in countless ways. The Seniors clearly will not be able to complete what has been begun this year. For the rest of you,f1uniors, Sophomores, and Fres men, it's yourjob to build upon this year's progress. The future and its decisions lie with you. Whether it be acadeniicallv, athleticallv or sociallv, we trv to do our best. We have all had our personal losses and davs of frustration, vet our strong will and deter- mination help us pull through and move on. This is important throughout our lives, because our strength will make us move ahead onto bigger and better things. Our first step in life will soon be complete, for there is a whole new future ahead of us. We are special individuals with talents of many sorts, but together we made Wayland High School one of the best schools in the countrv.
