With their usual flashy style, Le Cercle Francais opened the year by welcoming forty rookie members, survivors of an awe-inspiring initiation ritual, highlighted by a bloody burning at the stake. Under the guidance of advisor leanne Smith, the club delighted thirty-five Dorchester children with the annual Haitian Christmas party, the Language Reference Center transformed into a wonderland of Barbie dolls and Nerf balls. Building up their treasury with a tremendously successful Winter Week candy drive twhere over three thousand boxes of M 81 M's were devouredll, these quasi-Parisians hope to host French visitors in April, gearing up for a summer voyage to France. This cultured crew plans to top off the year with a spring T-shirt sale, expecting whopping victories in the French Club-Spanish Club softball game and club chariot race. Vive La France!
