SABSE Upset by a rash flow of vandalism within the school, a force of students, faculty, and administrators united this year to organize SABSE, Student Action For A Better School Environment, a coalition formed to familiarize the school community with the daily per- formed acts of destruction. The com- mittee's efforts to clean up the campus materialized in a monthly class contest, rewarding the owner of the cleanest building with thirty-five dollars, promp- ting students to scrub hallways to in- crease class treasuries. Hoping to provide some knowledge about death and grieving, the committee initiated a program dedicated to educating others through frank discussion of death and the ef- fects of loss. As part of this special program, Belmonts Rabbi Earl Grollman addressed an assemblage of high schoolers and administrators, dealing vvith reactions to death.
