ONCE NEWS, NOW HISTORY CLASS CAPERS 1950- 51 : Seniors this year claim the Incoming freshmen look unusually awed and bewildered... .In spite of seniors' predictions, the freshmen are losing their lost look under the guidance of faculty advisors Mr. Kerber and Miss Kunzog.-..Class of '54 wakes up in time to elect Dandy Dick Whitman to the Presidency, with Normal Norm Folts as his understudy, Alice Lander as secretary, and Virginia Wulforst as kash keeper.... Frosh Frolic furnishes food and fun for all. Spectators say there was little difference between the potato races and the dancing Frolic is high-lighted by a talent show including accordionist Ginny Wulforst and that guitar girl. Sue Johantgen.... Freshmen leave school in June with precious little knowledge other than a vague recollection of having read something called Ivanhoe .... 1951- 52: September brings sophs back to the old grind.... Election returns show Larry Henty as leader of the troupe and Dancing Donna Newfang as Veep, with Lucky Lander at the secretary's post again, and Joyce Hagadone swinging the treasurer's axe.... President's cabinet of advisors consists of Coach White and Miss Engle... .Christmas party held in Mr. Hatch's homeroom,... Plans for Soph Hop hop out the official window but fire up enthusiasm for making moola as class leaves June exams behind for next year's sophs.... 1952- 53: Voters in the juniors' district re-install Young Cliff Henty in the President's position and Joyce in the tax collector’s seat. Alice elevated to Vice, and Rollicking Rosie Brehmintroduced to the official pad and pencil fopular demand returns Mr. Kerber and Miss Kunzog to advisory posts they occupied two years before.... The Eagle's Claw. edited by Alice Lander, puts out sev- en big issues. One of them lists the definition of Western Union as cowboy underwear. Duty: Keep the seniors' brass from blinding them on their way along the straight and narrow path--Brawny Bemie Yohon manages the magazine campaign, which under team captains, Natalie Hodgkins and Donna Newfang, reaches its goal and sets a record in sales at W.C.S....Yearbook Staff. led by Chief Editor Norman, promises bigger and better issue---Talented thespians overcome stage fright and present three plays. Memories of these include Judy Allen's Oh gee, gosh! Mary Maher's All I wants is a chance, Bob Hitchcock's strip tease, and to cap the climax, Elaine Harter's dramatic--and unrehearsed--entrance between plays.... Winterlude brings Carl Dengler back to W.C.S., for the big Christmas Ball under Chairman Alice. Queen’s crown is poised over Donna N. with President Larry at her side-Commencement propels fifty young men and women into the world with nostalgic memories of the senior trip. Class Day.
