On September 5, 1927, the Junior Class boarded the ship Which was to sail to the shore of Graduation. It was no Won- der the voyage Was successful with a Captain like Walter Graham and a Sponsor like Coach Kimbrough. We sponsored a very successful banquet for the Seniors. We also succeeded in pulling down the Senior flag and hoisting the Junior flag. September 10, 1928, the same people under a different name boarded the same ship to complete the same voyage and reach the shore of Graduation. This class was fortunate in having as Captain Reid DeWeiss and Sponsor Wilma Freid- sam. After considering several memorials which the class might leave to the College it was finally decided that a fence around the gridiron would be the best. This was done and E with a great success. With a unanimous vote of the Senior 5 Class to standardize the class ring and pin, the proposition 2 was taken to the Junior Class which unanimously voted to do i the same. The Junior and Senior classes agreed at the re- - ppv, quest of Mr. Huff not to have the usual annual class rush and ' agreed to make it a custom to give a program impersonating 7 so the members of the faculty to be presented each April fool. 4 2 The final day of the popularity contest the class spirit of both ' Juniors and Seniors Was shown, however the Seniors were vic- Q- 2 torious in putting over three of their candidates. The last day E was almost a class rush except in name. 2? Most of the smartest students in school Were in this class. E E Poets, historians, musicians and good singers were all to be Q? : found from their group, people Who Will make good citizens 23 and be a benefit to civilization. She has filled her office well and has also done other works in the school which will long be remembered. Many have been the accomplishments of the class which has been made possible by the able financier, Mr. Ray. His ability has made the Senior Class of '29, very success' ful from a financial standpoint. Reid DeWeese has not only held the name of class President-But everything that a president could ever do has been done this year. He has Worked Wholefheartedly for the interest of the class and the betterment of Wayland College. We find in C. E. Meredith, our vicefpresif dent, a good all round student who has work' ed in every way for the class. He will be remembered as a loyal classfmate.
