SEPTEAIBER I2-Sun.-'Y.XV.C.:X. Cabinet arrives at school, the football team having come back about two weeks earlier. 15eVVed.-School opens officially with the banquet and YNV. pajama party in the evening. l6fThur.-A session of short classes follows the opening assembly. The Y.VV.- W , Club Mixer is held in the big gym, a sock hop on that new floor. l7-Fri.-We hike to Crystal Lake for a picnic supper. After house meetings, there is roller skating and swimming. 18-Sat.-The football team loses to Blake, 26-O, at Minneapolis. Co-educational games in the big gym during the afternoon and a down town movie party to see the wonderful Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. 19-Sun.HThe teachers win the annual facultyastudcnt softball game. The Varsity Club picnic is attended by all the girls. 24-Fri.-Our team and coaches are introduced at a pep assembly. Then we go to class meetings to elect officers and adjourn to Club Henri. 25-Sat.-Vile defeat Racine Lutheran, 32-6, in our first home football game. The Activities Committee sponsors the Street Dance in the small gym. 26-Sun.-A front campus football game starring place kicker Fred Kapelle and Frankie Hochholzer, the place from which Kapelle kicked. 28-Tue.-Now you know what group ratings are. OCTOBER 1-Fri.-Class meetings, a pep rally, swimming, and roller skating are the evening's activities. 2-Sat.-VVe beat Milwaukee Lutheran, 6-O, on Dick Schulz's 45 yard touchdown run on the last play of the game. Downtown movie party and S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A. concert. 8-Fri.-We hear Sir Hugh Foote, the governor of Dlamaica, as an assembly speaker. Pep rally and Club Henri that night. 9-Sat.-Hockey ladies split two games with Milwaukee Downer, and football men win their game with Northwestern Prep at Watertovxtn, 260. Varsity Club spon- sors the dance, featuring square dancing called by 'lon Stillman. 10-Sun.-Some of the girls learn that it is not such a good idea to walk home from church barefooted Con the back street in a sudden rainstorml 15-Fri.-Class meetings are held after dinner. Then we all go to a pep rally and the cordial movie, The Undercover Man, in Linfield. 16-Sat.-Football here, Way'land-38, Hartland-0. The seniors put on a turnabout, the Stadium Stamp, in the little gym.

19-Tue.-It hardly seems possible, but here beginneth the first session of 6-weeks exams. 22-Fri.-A movie in Linfield, Against All Flags, preceded by class meetings and a pep assembly. 23-Sat.-The hockey teams tie and lose to M.U.S. in Milwaukee. The football team also plays there and wins, 14-6. Skit practices all evening, and Club Henri is open. 24-Sun.-United Nations Day, a program in the auditorium. 27-Wed.-The first Community Concert given by a group of five harpists called the Angelaires. 29-Fri.-We get the afternoon off to put up our effigies. The Centennial Home- coming officially gets under way with the variety program. At the bonfire and pep rally on the upper tennis courts Coach Boya announces that Connie Zipprodt has been elected Homecoming queen. 30-Sat.-First hockey team ties Downer, l-1, and the second team loses, l-O. The thrilling football game ends with VVayland defeating Milwaukee Country Day, 20-19, for the first time in 25 years. Then the terrific Homecoming Dance in the big gym with the music of Eddy Howard and his orchestra. 31-Sun.-At the big noon banquet, Pickard Hall is formally dedicated. NOVEMBER 1-Mon.-Chapel is eliminated so we'll get some extra sleep after that hectic, but wonderful weekend. 5-Fri.-Down town to the movies, It's a Womans VVorldl' and Hell Raiders of the Deepf, 6ASat.-We close the football season at Lake Forest, losing 25-13. The Shoe- String Fling is the dance given by the juniors, bingo and a hilarious skit with Helen Burton, Judy Voss, Craig VVard, and VVard Keil. 12-Fri.-Another movie, this time Bright Victory in Linfield. 13-Sat.-We lose two hockey games to Downer, I-O and 3-O. The seniors spon- sor the first activity in the new rec room, the Hobo Hop. 18-Thur.-The University of Wisconsin basketball team gives an exhibition in the big gym. 19-Fri.-We are cordially invited to attend the movie Lorna Doone in the auditorium. 20-Sat.-The sophomore activity is called the Turkey Turnabout, and is held in the rec room ....
