flllll - Illllr ea gun f givin' L A ' JW Iames and his orchestra furnish the theme music, Bali Ha'i, in a beautiful South Sea lslands setting. ll-Wed.-The annual spring banquet of the Y.W.C.A. is held in the dining room and new officers are installed. 14-Sat.--There is a track meet at Milwaukee Country Day and a tennis meet at M.U.S. 21-Sat.-Monarch Range Day. The juniors are busy writing college board exams. Racine Lutheran and St. john's come here to take part in a triangular track meet. 27-Fri.-A meeting of student senates of the Midwest Prep Conference schools takes place here. Also there is a pre-commencement recital in the auditorium. 28-Sat.-The conference tennis meet is held here and the conference relays are held at M.C.D. If you have tears, prepare to shed them now, seniors. The street dance is your last activity here at Wayfland. JUNE 3-Fri.-This is it-final exams are starting. 4-Sat.-The track teams of the conference converge on VVayland for a big meet. 5-Sun.-Baccalaureate is in the big gym in the morning. ln the evening, all the girls take part in the Y,W. farewell at the big bonfire on back campus. 7-Tue.-The last of exams for another year. 8-Wed.-and 9-Thur.-The Rouland show is presented. The Lord High Executioner, Yum- Yum, and all the others sing and dance through a fine production of the Gilbert and Sullivan operetta, The Mikado. lO-Fri.-Pomp and Circumstance echoes across the campus once more and the great day of graduation arrives at last. 2-Sat.-The first really warm day of the spring brings lots of people to front campus and the tennis courts. The junior activitv is a twin turnabout, the Crue- some Twosome, in the small gym. 3-Sun.-Religion in Life VVeek begins with a movie in the auditorium and the first of a series of talks bv Rev. Odyss Kneece. 6-Wed.-The Y.W.-Youth Group Easter candlelight service is held in the chapel. 8-Fri.-Another downtown movie party, this time to see The Caine Mutiny and On the Waterfront. 9-Sat.-The sophomores sponsor an evening of swimming and dancing to the theme of April Showers. 10-Sun.-Happy Easter! 15-Fri.-The Midwest Headmasters' Conference. The Town Hall of the Air is broadcast over a nation-wide network from our auditorium. l6rSat.-Tennis meet here against Lake Forest. Our one chance to see how the other half lives . . . open house in VVayland and VVarren Halls. 22-Fri.-Get out the track shoes, gals. ltls the annual Sadie Hawkins Day racel 23-Sat.-Ourutennis team goes to Lake Forest for a meet and their track team comes here. Marryin' Sam does a land-office business at the freshmen's Sadie Hawkins dance. 24eSun.-Music festival at M.U.S. 28-Thur.-Surprise!! Six-weeks exams are here again. 30-Sat.-There is a track meet at Delafield against St. johns Military Academy. The sophomores put on the carnival, which affords games and a good time for evervone. MAY frFri.-Movie party. 7-Sat.-The track and tennis teams travel to Milwaukee, the track meet at M.U.S. and the tennis meet at M.C.D. At night is the fabulous junior prom.
