The Redmen ran wild against M. U. S. as they ran up a 32-O score for their third conference victory. The highlight of the game was a sixty-five yard touchdown run by Dick Neuman. Ken- niger, Maye, Kapelle, and Nisbet did the rest of the scoring. The Redmen came up against unde- feated Country Day the following Sat- urday, and lost a T2-O battle after playing the first three quarters on an even basis. In the Homecoming game against Lake Forest, the eventual league cham- pions, the Redmen outplayed the visi- tors throughout the entire game but lost a 14-13 decision as Kapelle's try for a second conversion was wide by inches. George Maye scored the first touchdown, and Dick Pingel scored on a pass from Kapelle with less than a minute remaining in the game. In their final game, the Big Red dumped the favored Racine, Maye and Nisbet scoring touchdowns in the first quarter. The Redmen held their lead for the rest of the game and won I3-7. Dick Snyder and Gene Kenniger were elected the team's co-captains. At the end of the season, Gene Kenniger and George Maye were named to the All-Conference first team, Dick Snyder, Ray Little, and Chuck Nisbet were ap- pointed to the second team. SEGA.
