Cynthia Griffin SOPHOMORE The class of 1956 undertook its second year at Wayland by sponsoring one of the first ativities of the year, the Harvest Hop, and later followed with the annual carnival. Their activi- ties were highlighted by Sadie Hawkins Day, which they will put on until their graduation. Before the dance there is an old fashioned race in which the girls try to catch their escorts for the dance. On arriving there the couples are wed by Marryin' Sam . This is always one of the memorable activities of the year. Again they did a fine job at Homecoming both on the skit and the effigy, when they won first place in the latter.
