The linal year has been the best as lar as accomplishments and lun are concerned. Seniors are expected to be campus leaders in every Field, and this class is no exception. Ray Jones, president oi the Student Senate, Laura Baddalcer, president oi the Warren House Council, Bill Weiner, president of the Wayland Proctor Council, Marion Mitchell, president oi the V.W.C.fX., Dorothy Boothby, editor oi the DOST, Don Jones, president ol the Drama Club, Carrie Hollister, Milly Maccallum, B. G. ,lannasch and Clari Urich ol the PILLARS, these are but a ievv ol the senior class members outstanding in Wayland activities. Bob Grillin, senior president, Jo Wilson, vice-president, and Don Jones, secretary-treasurer, are the class officers. The First senior-sponsored activity oi the year was the Barn Brawl in September. Hay, blue jeans, games, and dancing prevailed. Seniors vvorlced hard on the Homecoming Dance, too. They did the decorating' 'and got a cut ol the proiitsl The most important social event ol the pre-Christmas season vvas the Snovv Ball given by the seniors in the library. Clari Urichis decorations oi sparkling Christmas trees, green boughs, and glowing candles made the party a long-to-be-remembered lestivity. A senior traditionf the box socialfvvas the next on the calendar, This time the boys provided the food, and the girls bid on the boxes. As we go to press, the Senior Prom is in the near luturefits theme is a secret, but it is certain to be a memorable occasion, as have been all other senior activities. The seniors are leaving Waylandfbut not in spirit. What they have gained in their lour short years here can never be lost, Page 90
