s A ' Judy Piclcard, Karl Rauschert, Julie Pickard, Sue Dooley TI-IE JUNICDR CLASS , -l-IE juniors have done their share this year at Wayland. Under the capable leader- ship ol Judy picltard as president, Karl Rauschert as vice-president, Julie Piclcard as secretary, and Sue Dooley as treasurer, they have made a name lor themselves as enthusi- astic, energetic vvorlters. Both boys' and girls, sports have a large percentage ol juniors in their ranlcs. Jim l'lerriclc and Bill Nolan, co-captains ol the l45-'46 baslcetball team and Karl Rau- schert, newly elected captain lor the '46-'47 season, proudly represent their class. Judy Pickard and Joan Richie are the captains ol the girls' baslcetball team this year, proving that the erstvvhile vveal4er sex is not to be outdone in winning its share of captainciesl Last fall the junior boys helped Wayland win gridiron honors when thir- teen of their number went out lor Football. The various clubs, choirs, and publications stallsfin lact, all the activity groups on the campusfare proud ol their juniors. The presidents ol the W-Club and the Var- sity Club are juniors!-Dick Aylvvard and Julie Piclcard, as is Bill l-lerriclc, Club 'I3 president. The student body vvill long remember the juniors lor the popular Club Lindsagonf' The class, searching lor an unusual activity, stumbled upon the idea ol a pseudo night club, complete with Floor shovv, soft lights, and high pricesl lts third opening, in March of this year, vvas a tremendous success.
