Denier took our seventh grade for eooial studies in order to give Mr. lard here time to work on civica-government. Our eighth grade students dominated the student body' officee, but the eeventh graders managed 'to share in 'most of the other activities.,

Calendar of Events SEPTFMBER School opens on the lOth - 312 students enrolled! This is a new high for our school Mr. Corra begins instrmentel 'music instruction. Team sports begin a new experiment by starting basketball and playing practise games with high school 'C' and 'DW teams Mr. Rovetta takes those left over for touch-football games. OCTOBER Basketball team scrimmages Oakdale, Escalon and Lodi. Our boys give Lodi a scare by losing to their high school C team by only 2 pointsl Glenwood defeats the touch football boys. Mr.'l'ard's girls volleyball team plays Stockton High two close games. Linden defeats touch-football team. Girls volleyball defeat Linden Elementary. The touch-footballers defeat Greenwood. Mr. Evan's class visits the museum. NOVEMBER Hr. Bonhams class visits the museum in Stockton. Mr. Evan's class appears on KWG radio program. We have our first school assembly with a marimba player as the guest artist. Touchufootball team ties Linden. Girls volleyball team splits in two games with Linden High Fresh. Jackson Elementary basketball teamslwin two from ual DECEMBER Parents Club puts on a card party to help continue to pay for cafeteria equipment. Both of our basketball teams defeat Tracy Elementary. Second assembly program with D cowboy singer appearing. Miss Stetson's Chorus gives program for Christmas Pot-Luck dinner. B basketball teams defeats Escalon - Ms lose. Xmas vacation begins. ' JANUARY Christmas vacation comes to an end. YA -team defeats Tracy again - B team loses. B s defeai' Ripon, bigger brothers get taken. Mrs., Hubbard's class takes a field trip to the market. Third assembly program features a piano player. Combined A-B basketball team defeats Montezuma. Mr. Bonham's class appears on KWG radio show. Lodi Elementary takes us in basketball. Upper grades watch television program of inaguration. WA' team defeats Rio Vista in thriller, 'B' team loses. 'B' team makes comeback by defeating Ripon while 'A' team loses. h FEBRUARY Teachers Institute - vacation for everyone but the teachers! Assembly program features electronic musician. Box Social' by Parents Club :ls enjoyed by those present. B basketball team defeats Tracy, A team loses. Mr. Bonham's class gives Columbus play for Parents Club. MARCH Assembly program features Magician - very good. Basketball team fcombinedl travels to Ripon for two day tournament. Lose a real close one to Manteca, are upset by p Tracy, and finally round out the tournament with a one-point come-back win over Salida. '7th-8th grade participates :ln KIG-Bee spelling contest. Basketball team winds up season with trip to Oroville for first annual Thermalito School basketball tournament. Mrs. Germain's class is on the air. Eighth grade visits legislature in Sacramento- Plaster vacation commences.. APRIL . Easter vacation ends. Mr. Evans and his baseball team become better organized and provide us with several good showings. Mr. lard takes charge of the track team to participate in the second annual Waverly Jr. Olympics, the Linden Young Farmers, and Future Farmers Meet in Escalon. MAY ' Final assembly program. Mr. Evans and his class plan triplto Sutter! FQIWQ 5P1'i'1'1B fever setting in. Girls softball team look fine - don't play bad ball either! Important day for the Eighth graders ahead. School picnic at Oak Park. Big night finally arrives - Graduation. Mike Palladino and Joye Tinsley win our outstanding student in graduating class awards. Successful year closes.
