Time Is Near Mr. Rovetta makes track award presentation at student body meeting. Student body officers elected for the school year 1952-'53 are: Left to Rxghtr Vincent Augello, Treasurer: Richard Barnett, Vice- President: Mike Palladino, President: and Elaine OuNC,il' Secretary. The Waverly Elementary School studentrbod-yeorganizaition came into being in September, while we were still occupying the old building. -Jerry Rusher was elected to serve as our President, Gary Dirksen, Vice-Presidentg Joy Tinsley, Secretaryg Billy Tinsley, Treasurerg Richard Benetiz., Serg'eant at Arms. Activities of the 'student body included the Curtiss Plan for schools when they made 5140. O0 by selling magazine subscriptions. Other fund raising activities were school movies and a continuous paper drive. H Funds were used to purchase sweaters and emblems for the chorus, and athletic equipment and uniforms for the boys' and girls' teams. Each room had two representatives elected to serve on the student council, which met with the student body officers to .plan future activities. Officers elected for the year 1952-'53 were: Mike Palladino, Presidentg Richard Barnett, Vice-Presidentg Elaine O'Neil, Secretaryg Vincent Augello, 'Treasurerg and Ken Fregien, Sergeant at Arms. '
