' K xv 399 THE ADVISOR COMMENTS: What arelief when the 1956 WAVE was com- pleted and submitted to the publisher, and all the money raised! I The latter is really a long, and difficult task to be accomplished by the faithful few . To the Editorial Staff members who have spent hours planning and arranging the contents of this book, and seeing the job finished, I wish to express my sincere appreciation of their faith- ful and untiring efforts. It was quite an under- taking to assume the responsibility of editor as late as the beginning of the second semester, but Shirley Heriford, with the able assistance of Sharon Dodd, did this very thing. These girls worked together faithfully to the end and have edited this yearbook. To the Business Staff, without whom we could not have financed this yearbook, I also express my appreciation for their loyalty and faithfulness, especially Joe Laugharn, assistant business man- ager, who never missed operating the popcorn machine at any of the ball games. I might also add that Joe Laugharn and Gary Richardson have worked on the Wave Staff three years and their names were placed on the Honor Plaque with the editors and business manager, for their three years offaithful service. Four of the staff mem- bers have served on the Wave Staff two years: Bill Gibson, Lee Marr, Allen Keltner, and Rita Clayton. To present to you readers a picture of the cost of your yearbook you have just finished reading, Ishould like to give a few figures with which the staff andl have had to work to produce this book. The actual cost, including publication and photo- graphy, averaged 57.60 per book. The sub- scribers were charged 53.50, which left 34.10 on each book the staff has had to raise from other sources. So, to each of the staff members, the faculty, and parents who supported our financial projects, lexpress my appreciation for your co- operation and contribution in any way that made possible this 1956 WAVE. 2 1 ..
