(Pitted. 'PtofiAecy While on my way home from graduation, I came upon a railroad station which seemed to have appeared from nowhere. I heard someone announcing that the Train of Tomorrow was ready to leave. The strange name aroused my curiosity to such an extent that I purchased a ticket and boarded the train. I had no sooner sat down than I found myself in an elaborate ballroom which I immediately learned was owned by DEANNA SHEETS and BETTY JO STULLEY. Deanna and Betty Jo were glad to see me, and proceeded to inform me of what was going on. The present occasion was the annual banquet for the outstanding citizens of the year, with ROLAND TERRELL, who had become a famous radio commentator, as master of ceremonies for the evening. Much to my surprise, I learned that every member of my graduating class had been invited and had accepted. I looked around in time to see MARY ALYCE and WADE enter. Mary Alyce informed me that she and Wade had been married for five years, and that Wade was now head coach at the University of Alabama. She then told me what had become of my former classmates. JAMES HENRY was to receive an award for his famous Historical Collections of Alma . The Mathews girls, (SHIRLEY, ALBERTA, and CORA), who had become a famous trio, had volunteered to furnish part of the entertainment for the evening. CARLENE BARRETT was to give a speech on her social work in India. MARTHA DRUM and VIVIAN BOLIN, co-owners of a famous dance studio in New York City, were to be present. GARY PARSONS is to be given an award for his cartoon, Hector the Hippo. I was surprised to learn that many of my classmates are in the circus world. LARRY WONDERLEIGH is the owner of the Wonderleigh1 s Wonder Circus. ROBERTA DEWITT and JUDY HALLO RAN are trapeze artists.CHINK Grinner BROWN, with the aid of his famous fleas (which are furnished by PAT DUNCAN'S Itchy Flea Factory ), is the world's most famous clown. BEN ROSSis now a combination fire eater and sword swallower. JERRY DODD and CHUCK BLOUNT have a famous tumbling act. JACK WORTHEN'S horses are appearing in circuses all over the country. I also learned that a number of my classmates had participated in the Olympics. HELEN PFEIFER is coach of the women's Olympic team. MARY JANE McCOY had won the mile race to become world champion. KAY McKEN-ZIE had set a new high jumping record by clearing the pole forty-five feet. MARY JANE TEICHERT had entered the trans-Altantic swimming meet —she swam half-way across, became tired, and swam back. WANDA THOMPSON had won the shot-put contest.
